Rules for the "Finnish basenji puppy of year 2008" competition
Dogs and bitches compete against each other in the same class. Only basenjis that are owned by Finnish citizens and that compete in Finnish dog shows can enter this competition. One of the owners also need to be members of the Finnish Basenji Club.
The owners can include the points gained by their dogs at six shows. Only puppy classes to puppies from 7 - 9 months, organized in conjuction with official dog shows can be included. If two puppies or more get the same total score, then the winner is the puppy with most puppies left behind.
The trophy will be in circulation for six years (started 2002). After the six years the prize will go to the puppy with the highest total score. If more than one dog get the same total score, then the dog with more puppies won will get the trophy.
Points
Each puppy will receive one point for every basenji puppy he or she has won. A Prize of Honour (KP) will give the puppy five additional points. Puppies won means all the puppies won by another puppy, all puppies of the same sex, and with the BOB puppy also all the puppies of the opposite sex.
